Shoaib Akhtar was born on 13th August 1975 in a poor family in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. His father’s name is Mohammad Akhtar who was a night watchman at Petrol Pump and his mother’s name is Hameeda Awan. His father was a religious and hardworking person. Although, they were handling the economical crisis. He has 4 elder brothers and one younger sister.

He was an average student in his class. He used to play cricket for time pass and used to roam here and there in town the whole day. His early life wasn’t that interesting. But his life turned when he decided to become a cricketer and became serious about it.

He used to love bowling. But his physical strength was not that much strong that a fast bowler has. So, he started picking up the rocks and bricks and throwing them towards mountains like he was bowling. His friends teased him for this and also said that he is going mad. But it helped him to gain strong muscles and at that time he was the fastest bowler in his town.

When he attended Asghar Mall College, he wasn’t concentrated on his studies because he went to give trials in PIA Cricket Team. He had to go through Bus but not having money to buy the Bus Ticket, he waited to Bus start and got onto its roof. The days were struggling for him but he wasn’t so far towards his goal.

In his List-A matches, former captain of Pakistan Cricket Majid Khan got an eye upon him because of his well-deserved performance. Then, he played for the Pakistan A team touring England in 1996. After witnessing his performances, he got his first-ever International Cap from Test Match against West Indies on November 27, 1997.

His life’s bus started moving towards success. He was not talked much during his early matches but the audience realized that he will do something big. He became one of the most successful Bowlers of cricket ever got. He also became the fastest bowler after bowling 161.3 Km/h on 22nd February 2003 in World Cup’s match against England’s batsman Nick Knight at Newlands in Cape Town, South Africa.

He had also suffered through several problems like hamstrings injuries and ban for two and half years due to consuming drugs. He never hid his mistakes as he learnt from his mistakes.
