Ryan Thomas Gosling was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ontario, on November 12, 1980, to Thomas Ray Gosling, a business executive for a paper mill, and Donna, a secretary. They “moved several times” because of his father’s work, and Gosling ended up living in both Cornwall, Ontario and Burlington, Ontario. When he was 13, his parents separated, and he and his older sister Mandi managed to move in with their mother.
