Rohit Kumar Paudel was born on the 2nd of September 2002 in Nawalparasi District, Nepal. He has one elder brother and an elder sister in his family and she is married. He fell on the same list as the guy who has more interest in games than studies. He was a cricket lover. He used to play the whole day on Holidays. He was a talented cricketer. He just used to play it for fun not as a career and Nepal was a new country in terms of cricket at that time.
But when Nepal got into ICC T20 World Cup 2014 in Bangladesh, he realized that he can make it his profession and continue it throughout his life. He talked with his parents and brother about Cricket and his father and brother decided to send him to Kathmandu. He was sent to his elder sister and brother-in-law’s home to live and practice cricket there. The ground was near their home and he was too young to live single at that time so he lived with his sister there.
Once he was seen by the former Nepalese Cricket coach Binod Das where he was impressed with his talent at a young age. He was selected for the camp of U-19 Asia Qualifiers 2016 and was selected for it. He became part of the squad of Nepal in U-19 Asia Qualifiers 2016 held in Sri Lanka. His great inning came against mighty India. He scored almost 68 runs there where 24 runs were made in the last over against Kamlesh Nagarkoti who is currently bought by IPL team KKR for INR 2 crores around. However, Nepal lost the match but left his footprints and roared like a real fighter.
On 3 August 2018, he made his Senior Team Debut for Nepal. It was an ODI match against Netherland. On 24 January 2019 during the Tour of UAE, on second ODI he scored his first-ever international fifty and broke the 29-year-old record of God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar being the youngest one to score an International fifty. Sachin achieved this record being 16 years and 243 days older whereas Rohit scored when he was just 16 years and 146 days older. It was a huge achievement for him and the huge thing that fell 3 Crores Nepalese proud. His T20I debut was on 31 January 2019 against UAE.
He is currently serving the Nepalese Team at no.4 and has proven his ability at several crude conditions of the team. He is currently one of the best and most deserving people for that spot in Nepal.
