Eoin Morgan was born on September 10, 1986 in Ireland. His mother was from England. He attended the Catholic University School on Leeson Street for his education and participated in a school-level cricket event there. He played for Ireland’s youth teams and received caps at the Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17 levels before becoming the country’s youngest senior international. He was the highest run-scorer for Ireland during the 2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
In the 2006 Under-19 World Cup, he led Ireland as captain. With an overall total of 606 runs, he is the U19 Cricket World Cup’s best run scorer. In 2010, Morgan competed in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore for $220,000 in the player auction before that. At the European Championships against Scotland on August 5, 2006, Morgan made his One Day International debut for Ireland. He was let go on a 99 by runout. Morgan was included in Ireland’s 15-man team for the 2007 Cricket World Cup in February 2007.
Morgan led England to a surprise victory over highly anticipated Sri Lanka in the opening match of the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy. He made an amazing 62. Morgan initially missed England’s participation in the 2011 World Cup owing to an injury, but later replaced an injured Kevin Pietersen. He got 63 runs in his World Cup debut against Bangladesh on March 11, 2011.

With only one half-century in his previous 65 innings across all formats of cricket by June 2022, Morgan was under pressure to step down as England captain. He declared his retirement from international cricket on June 28, 2022.
