A.P.J Abdul Kalam was born on October 15 1931 in Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. His birth name was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. He was a successful and an inspirational scientist of the whole world. A boy from small village became the Missile Man of India. He was totally dedicated for his country.
He passed his Schooling from Schwartz Higher Secondary School which was located in his home town Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu. Later On, he continued his graduation in Physics from Saint Joseph’s College. His interest was in Aerospace Engineering. Though in 1955, he studied Aerospace Engineering in Madras Institute of Technology.
His hard work and dedication for Aerospace were amazing. His passion and talent made him the Project Director of India’s first Satellite Launch Vechile(SLV-III) at ISRO. He also served as the Scientific Adviser to Defence Minister and Secretary, Department of Defence Research & Development from 1992 to 1999. He was former President of India too.
He left the world in July 27, 2015. He had became the inspiration of billions of lifes. It’s very difficult to be a man like A.P.J Abdul Kalam. His heartbeat had stopped but he will remain in everyone’ heart forever.
Life History/Career Path of A.P.J Abdul Kalam:
A.P.J Abdul Kalam was born on October 15 1931 in Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. His birth name was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. His father was owner of a ferry which took Hindu pilgrims back and forth between Rameshwaram and Dhanuskodi. When a bridge was established there, it increased difficulties in his family to live peacefully.
Abdul Kalam faced many problems in early childhood. To help his father with income, he started selling Newspapers. He used to travel 3 KM away to a railway station to collect newspaper thrown from the trains and sell them in his hometown. He used to sell those Newspapers with his 3 others friends. After selling News papers he used to go school. He was an average- grade student in school. His teachers used to praise him. He was known to much problems at an early age but he used to get those incidents in positive aspect.
He passesd his Schooling from Schwartz Higher Secondary School which was located in his home town Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu. Later On, he continued his graduation in Physics from Saint Joseph’s College.
His interest was in Aerospace. Though in 1955, he pursued Aerospace Engineering in Madras Institute of Technology. He was increasing his knowledge day by day. Oneday he had to go for 2 interviews, one was in Dehradhun for the Air Force and in Delhi for the Ministry of Defence. As his interest, he decided to go to Dehradun for the Air Force.
He went Dehradhun through Delhi. There were 25 people for the interview but the vacant seat was only 8. After Interview, he saw that he was ranked 9th, failed by only 1 number. He was disappointed of himself there. Then he went to Delhi. Before reaching Delhi, Rishikesh comes first. When his train stoped at Rishikesh, he met a priest who prescribed him to read Bagvad Geeta. Then, he knew that” Don’t let failure to enter in your heart and success in your mind”. It encouraged him and the result was, he was selected in Delhi by Ministry of Defence.
His hard work and dedication were the reason behind his success.Later On, he became the Project Director of India’s Satellite Launch Vechile(SLV-II) at ISRO. When he went to NASA for further learning, NASA members were shocked after getting attached of his knowledge. They offered him to settle down in USA and work in NASA with 5 time more salary than India.
In his Biograhy he had mentioned that,”I was in doubt while they asked me to live a prestigious and luxorious life in USA but my principle didn’t let me do it.” He politwly refused the offer. He was an honest person in his whole life. He alson Presedential Election of India i 2002. He served India as President from 2002-2007. He fulfilled the wants of public and became able to remain in publics heart. Though, he is remembered as ‘People’s President’.
He died on 27th July, 2015 due to a cardiac arrest while giving a speech. He would have left earth but will remain in the heart of billions forever. From selling Newspapers to Missile Man: the journey was amzing for Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

1. He faced poverty lines in his early childhood.

After a stable life, he continued his habit because vegetarian foods give a fresher mind. He was an animal lover too. In fact, he did not wear leather products in his entire life. He used to wear sports shoes instead of leather shoes.
